My name is John Congdon and I am the Chief Technical Officer of bowlingball.com. It is my responsibility to add new features to bowlingball.com, keep the site up and running, and give my advice for the future of the website.
Bowling Experience:
I started bowling on the Saturday morning YABA league when I was younger. I wasn’t good and didn’t practice. My mom just took me on Saturday mornings, so this wasn’t a passion of mine.
I did bowl my freshman year in high school, but the school cut bowling as an extracurricular activity the following year. So I only bowled occasionally after that.
I picked it back up near the end of college because of one of my roomates. He helped me get my first reactive resin bowling ball from Keith Spear in the late 1990’s. Again, this was just occasional and not on a league, so the lanes were whatever we got.
I started bowling on a league steadily back in 2001. At that time I was averaging about 150, just bowling with some friends. I started with bowlingball.com in 2004 and have started to improve my game ever since then. Now in 2008, I am at a 185 average with aspirations to improve above that. I just need to practice more.
