Question from YouTube:

Q – Hi guys I bought a No Rules from you guys last month and just got it drilled today. Just need a little advise. At the beginning I was sticking in the ball causing a loft. Got it sanded out a little. Bowled good until end of 3rd game when my fingers (mostly my thumb) was swelling up and had 2 shots that went way up in the air and another where it didn’t come off at all and almost did a Josh Blanchard. After that I got timid and worried about it happening again so didn’t bowl well. So basically went from 245 3rd game to 130. After getting sanded again it never felt right and was
inconsistent between sticking and dropping it. What do I do? 01SilveradoLT on YT

Talk Bowling – Episode #125

Talk Bowling is proud to be bringing you the latest information from the bowling industry, bowling tips and updates from the world’s largest bowling website, bowlingball.com.

Question from YouTube:

Q – When i’m bowling in league and i’m bowling against people with high rev rate i usually struggle any tips on what to do? dynanomite tyler

Question from YouTube:

Q – I have a unique question. This past July I went to junior gold. Well before going, whenever I would go bowl league or just practice on house shot I could take my most aggressive ball and stand around 20 and throw it out to around 8 at the break point. Now whenever I go bowl I can play close to that same line but with my weakest ball. In order to throw the same ball I have to move almost 20 boards right (I’m left handed) and it usually results in bad shots. Obviously it’s hard to tell without watching me but do you guys have any ideas on how this possibly could’ve happened? I don’t work out or anything like that and I don’t honestly bowl that much, maybe 2-4 days a week counting league. Thanks for your help. Noah Anderson

Talk Bowling – Episode #124

Talk Bowling is proud to be bringing you the latest information from the bowling industry, bowling tips and updates from the world’s largest bowling website, bowlingball.com.

Question from YouTube:

Q – How do I improve my release to a point of it being clean and giving me a moderate amount of hook on a medium-longer sport shot oil pattern? I’ve tried cupping the ball, but it is difficult to stay under the ball past it coming down past my leg. I bowled in the Junior Gold nationals this year, and I was only able to see ANY movement from my Nirvana on the short oil pattern, and on any of the other oil patterns there would be about enough hook to take out the 8 pin if I shot straight from the right gutter to the pocket. My ball speed is also not very fast, at about 12-14 mph. I just want to know a way to make my release clean and come around the ball enough to generate even a few boards of hook on a longer oil pattern so I can be more competitive based on my carry (a side note, I made 97% of single/double pin spares, but the larger count spares and lack of striking power a what made me miss the cut) – Travis Knox

Question from Facebook:

Q – How do you know when it’s time to change balls?
