Question from Facebook:

Q – Does PAP affect plastic bowling balls?

A – Your PAP isn’t determined by the ball but by how you release it. Your PAP should be measured just as it’s hitting the lane. This is before the core or lane surface is able to have an effect on the roll of the ball. A plastic ball is the best kind of bowling ball to measure your PAP with though, as it will have the least amount of flare.

Question from YouTube:

Q – How do I stop tugging the bowling ball?

A –  There are a few reasons why you may be tugging the ball but the most common culprit is timing. I know for me personally, whenever my feet get fast, I tend to miss inside. The ball has to catch up with my feet and I end up tugging the ball inside.

Another possible reason could be not keeping your shoulders square to the line. Opening your shoulders too much to the lane can cause you to pull your bowling shoulder back to the line during the downswing, and therefore tugging the ball inside your intended line.
